Some people speculating that Ukraine is making it obvious that it's softening up the conditions to destroy the Kerch bridge, but leaving it open long enough for Russians to use it to leave.

The Russians have been planning a big push for months. The Ukrainians know and are therefore prepared. It will be carnage I expect with many many Russian troops dying. The mere fact that this hasn't been concealed is telling.

According to that report, there's only 130 Russian troops in Kostyantynivka.

Rather like the German spring offensive in 1918 which broke through the Western front at a number of points but supply logistics could not keep up with the advance and eventually, it collapsed.. I expect the same and I expect Russian vehicles and fuel will be prime targets for the foreseeable.

I see more drones are heading towards Crimea and Russian routes to it tonight - I guess that Ukraine is trying to drive the message home for Russians to leave, as well as taking out strategic defence and other infrastructure. I suspect they are planning something significant this summer, in the hope of tipping Putin into 'finding reasons' to stop the war.

I'm guessing that Ukraine is not just testing air defences and knocking expensive and useful stuff out, but also trying to get Russia to divert defensive equipment away from Crimea and other occupied territories. I suspect that if they had still been using US hardware, Trump would have been holding them back by not giving permission: it really does seem like they can hit pretty much anything with a fair degree of precision now, deep into Russia.

To cut a long and very colourful post by the Boss of Magyar's Birds: Robert Magyar Brovdi, he sees Crimea's occupation collapse as the point the Russian Regime collapses. He's offering the Russian settlers the chance to get out - all 1m of them.
Meanwhile, Putin continues to put air defences on the top of apartment blocks in Moscow as he withdraws air defence systems from all over Russia thereby leaving critical oil and manufacturing infrastructure even more vulnerable than they were before whilst putting the civilian lives in those blocks at huge risk. There is only 1 life Putin cares for and it's his own.
