Be fair, they don't have a great track record of successful leaders (other than a very narrow definition of successful) since Thatcher: Major, Hague, Smith, Howard, Cameron, May, Johnson.

For sheer comedy value it's got to be Liz Truss. Might as well die laughing.

I do think we're being a little over-optimistic about Johnson's demise - I don't think he's any intention of going anywhere, regardless of police, Sue Gray or investigations into lying to Parliament.
