Since I watched my first world cup in 1978, Archie Gemmill's wonder goal, this is the first one that I've struggled to have any interest in, I didn't even watch England's first game.

From the moment I watched that orange bellend gurning as he took the peace prize from a man who makes Sepp Blatter look like a choir boy it went downhill, then there's the Somalian referee not being allowed in, it's a shame the other refs didn't back him by refusing to take part without him.

Advert breaks midway through each half, an American player being allowed to play the next match after being red carded, and the final being turned into the superbowl, other than that ermm.

Thank fark it's all over.

Personally it would be kinda' funny if Argentina win, just to piss everyone off completely!

Okay, heavy handed. In football terms Argentina are getting an unreasonable amount of decisions going their way. Some of them dodgy.
Half of them should be off the field for two yellow cards each.

They did but quite frankly they should have been down to seven players and a 3-0 drubbing within the 90 minutes.
Refereeing decisions kept them in the game.
Oh, and there was nothing wrong with the disallowed goal. Not the offside one.

Last night was a no pressure match. Tonight was a World Cup final. That’s the difference.

It was an ugly match, and Argentina need to have a long think about how to play “the beautiful game”.
The refs have zero respect.
In no other spot do you see players surrounding refs.
My only conclusion is that FIFA like it that way. As otherwise they could easily crack down on it.

They won't because their tactics and ugly play brings them results

Referees and more importantly FIFA do sod all about it.

What's happened about their repeated political actions re Falklands- not just adfter semis but songs broadcast in dressing rooms etc after games
FIFA take no action - yet they took action immediately against a Barrow fan from England's opening game because his flag had a picture of a submarine on it - a nod to what Barrow is famous for . This was deemed by FIFA to be a political gesture by the Barrow fan
At so many World Cups Argentina have behaved like this and FIFA do nothing substantial to stop it.

The refs have zero respect.

Not only in World Cup, even in domestic football and grass roots football, the authorities do not support referees aand do not adopt a zero tolerance approach to this lack of respect

I have concluded that FIFA have no interest in football. They are interested in money and power only.

The whole 1/2 time nonsense so "celebrities" can get involved in it. What has Justin Bieber or any of the others got to do with football. Its all about making more money for FIFA

There needs to be a sin bin, and cumulative fouls, with the last player to foul being sent to it. 20 mins should do. And as soon as there's a sin bin it opens it up to replacing silly yellows. Also opens up the possibility of teams facing periods with fewer than 10 men during a game.
