It's all relative. When I start thinking that England are crap, I only have to compare them to Scotland,Wales or Northern Ireland and that cheers me up.
If you're cheered up comparing nations of plucky underdogs to perennial underachievers then good for you I suppose.
It is only socially acceptable for the Scots to gloat when England do badly Stevo. If you do it the other way around it just fuels the independence cause.
