I'm not talking about YL, as I think you know. The general strategy of calling everybody you don't agree with a Nazi, fascist, thick, red neck, on and on and on, undermines any thing you say and alienates people whose views are fairly mainstream. The more people do it the more they make the Left unpalatable to those in the middle. If the Left are determined to make themselves unelectable with such hyperbolic nonsense their voters will go elsewhere.

Unfortunately for all of us, social media abhors a reasoned discussion or argument and need incoherent name calling and dog whistles to keep the likes and shares coming.
