3 Tory seats being defended.
Looking like it could be a triple loss for the government.
With two labour and one Lib Dem winner.
But none of this is a foregone conclusion.

The real reason the Tories retained Uxbridge is because the Greens and Lib Dems insisted on running in a seat where they had no hope. If they had not run, Labour would have won easily. Labour lost by just over 400 votes.

This is why Starmer needs to work with other liberal parties to operate tactically.

Look, one Captain Hindsight in this story is enough.

What about if you actually thought you couldn't vote for this spineless Labour party or you actually wanted to vote Green ?

The country really does need a coalition .
And Labour could blame the Lib Dems for Brexit vote 2. Two, for both Brexit and PR.

Tories do not really do coalitions with good intent, though hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Then you need to wake up to the fact that party politics in this country at this time doesn't cater for you. In Uxbridge it was a simple choice - Conservative or Labour. No other parties stood any chance at all. Either you want a Conservative returned in which case, sure vote for Count Binface, or you don't, in which case your only option is to vote Labour.

The only possibility for you to actually vote for the party you want is to get rid of the current conservative government and hope that a labour or liberal coalition will change the system from first past the post to a proportional representation model.

Thanks for the lecture but trying to win based on the dislike of the Tories isn’t going to work for me, especially if Labour isn’t offering an opposition.Im fine with the result thanks.

It wasn't a lecture. Currently politics is binary. You either want the conservative candidate or your don't any vote that isn't for the strongest opponent is wasted. That's what we have. You can vote Green or Lib Dem but by doing so you are actually voting Conservative.
