Perhaps the US just needs to clarify its secession rules and make them crystal clear like the EU ones. Then Cananda can crack on and become the 51st state.

And I had money on the Trumpists trying to claim something along the lines of how it is a sign of the Catholic Church endorsing how great Trump is that they appointed a Yank. ‘No other American president has managed to get an American pope. It shows the love the Catholics all over the world have for me’

My thoughts exactly, Trump will claim credit for this 😂

They should probably have an 'in or out' referendum to make sure that joining the US is what the majority of voters want and to avoid the losers whining on for years afterwards. Oh, hang on...

William Shatner has suggested that the US could become part of Canada.

I would criticise her if I had the faintest idea what she was on about. As it is, smiling and nodding is probably the best best option.

You thinking it is ironic shows that you don't understand. She is practising what she preaches.

As far as I can determine, her policy is based on the Month Python argument sketch. She doesn't seem to have any position other than not Labour's.

Other than that, I'm happy to say no, I don't get her point.

I think she's actually just saying she's glad that Labour seem to have turned into a Reform-lite party. I'd not go looking for logic in her utterances, as I'd only be disappointed.
