Or like Manchester United l, where players from all over the world can play football entirely independently of one another on the same pitch.

That's not how you win games!

...Oh.

If we're going down Analogy Alley, one might suggest that a peloton would be a good one: working together as a single 'organism' a lot of the time, both for safety and efficiency, but at the same time with all the teams trying to outmanoeuvre each other through the race and especially when it comes to the finish line.

Nope. They are all white males.

Braverman likes to make a distinction between multiculturalism and integration. She wants everyone to adopt ‘British values’ whatever they are, speak the same language, learn the same, and contribute the same etc. Become fully integrated.

She doesn’t like multiculturalism, and the diversity it brings, different languages, culture etc. ‘the others’.

I think she needs to watch a couple of episodes of Gavin and Stacey.

The coexisting bit. If two cultures coexist, but everyone mingled with each other and participated in everything, then there would only be one culture.

You’re inferring that, it isn’t part of any definition I’ve seen. Maybe the reason you feel most people misunderstand what multi-culturalism means is because you’ve created your own definition.

I despise Braverman and all she stands for but that's a bit harsh.

Well this is the cake stop thread. Perhaps a graph would help?

3 possible replies:
- Eh? This graph needs more info i.e. what was the actual question!
- are you saying white Brits are actually GREY??
- the jokes on me - the graph/labels are deliberately vague.

It's a BR Cake Stop 'terrible graphs' thing: missing labels, non-zero axes, etc... a certain historian there seemed to think they explained everything.
