Well that's no surprise given that they've got an anti-vax nutjob in charge of US health policy and a justice system that's bending more and more to the will of Trump & MAGA.

No surprise, but an indication of going even further down the plughole.

Social media "influencers" need to be held responsible if they are blatantly sharing dangerous or misleading information.
Just my opinion, unlikely ever to come to fruition.
The challenge would be that restrict what they can say and that could reaffirm their message to many, sort of "what they are trying to stop you hearing ...". People seem to ready to believe absolute madness eg that Covid vaccines were really 5G tracking devices (can you image the technological breakthroughs that 5G connectivity small enough to embed in a standard fluid injection needle!)

I think the Social Media platforms need to behave more responsibly as they are the ones providing the platform and audiences (for free). Unfortunately they seem to be moving in the opposite direction becoming less responsible for anything other than their profits.

I don't have kids so am unaware of school curriculum but I wonder if schooling needs to have more focus of teaching kids to question more, to understand how accepting stupid theories can have massive impacts (eg measles deaths). Maybe to appreciate the "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" and to check sources and recognise reliable sources.

"Hmm, none of those excuses worked, so now let's try throwing in "working class"... he's still not getting that an apology would have been easier.

First he upset the "neurodivergent" now he has upset the "Working Class" 😂
The more he shouts the more people will listen. The more excuses he gives the more will be insulted as they also are in those groups and don't like to be associated with such behaviour.

He needs accept what has happened to him is going to happen however loud he shouts, however many press statements he releases, whatever he posts on Twitter, and none of his "defence" is going to get TV companies to welcome him back tomorrow.

Yet were he to accept he's persona non grata on TV, accept his behaviour was unacceptable then he might over time recover some standing and career.

Louder you shout the more people & press will listen and one thing he really doesn't want is people/press listening because only direction minds will change is against him.

Doesn't make much difference at this stage, except he's almost guaranteeing that whoever the poor sod is who won this year will never get the career break that quitting their job and dedicating a huge amount of time and energy to entering MasterChef deserved. The Beeb can't show it now even on iPlayer, I don't think.

It is starting to look questionable if it will come back as a show at all, actually.

An interesting take on Meloni - though I wouldn't credit Farage with not being a destructive loon if he ever got his hands on the levers of power. I don't think for one minute Farage cares about the UK as a 'going concern'.

I think the demolition company will be very happy with that. Completely collapsed in on itself. Better than watching Lincoln Project videos.
