I think you are misunderstanding what the Crown Estate is. The Crown Estate belongs to Brian in name only he has no control over it, does not manage it etc. The land does not belong to the British Government but to the monarch. However, all profits from the Crown Estate go directly to the treasury. So whilst the Government is leasing land from the Crown Estate, the cost of that lease just goes straight back into Government coffers.

The Crown Estate belongs to Brian in name only he has no control over it, does not manage it etc. The land does not belong to the British Government but to the monarch. Yes, part of it goes to the Sovereign grant. However that money isn't used for Charles to go out on a bender, it's mostly being used to maintain things like Royal Palaces, which in turn generate revnue from tours etc.

I think it's 100% to treasury, but the treasury then pay the Royal Family the sovereign grant which is used for things like refurbishing Buckingham Palace.
