Some people seem to think that climate change is only going to affect people (that they don't care about) in far away places, in their lifetime.

Truth is, here in the UK the extreme weather events such as intense heat, and thunderous downpours, exacerbated by global heating, are already affecting cropping and yields.

I see it here on this farm, and others are finding the same.

And that's in situations where we as farmers and growers have done our best to build resilience into our soils, and diversity into our cropping regimes.

Where that's not been factored in, the consequences will be worse.

The dipshit on the right(!) brought a snowball into the US senate in February 2015 to prove that climate change is a hoax.
Senator James Inhofe is his name. He even wrote a book on the subject,
The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future
Can you guess which party he represented?

I almost resent using Good Energy electricity writing

What a berk !! 🙄

Some Conservative party idiot on theToady prog this morning suggested that a bit of global warming would be a good thing as more people in the UK and northern climes die of cold than of heat - you really couldn't make this stuff up.....

It's quite pitiful the ignorance abounding..

And the glee with which those propounding such bahoolix display their stupidity.

It would be funny, if it t'weresn't so deeply depressing.

This jumped out at me today..

Was it that intellectual genius "Lord" David Frost, the mental colossus responsible for negotiating the astonishingly beneficial terms of our exit from the EU?

This sort of thing has been predicted for years by very sensible scientists.

And its why many of us have been trying to get swifter action taken on climate change for the majority of our lives.

It really not that hard to grasp the basics of greenhouse gas emissions and the consequential global heating effects.

There is still literally nothing that would make me happier, than to wake up tomorrow and discover all our campaigning, and system change efforts were as a result of unnecessary 'scaremongering'.

Sadly that's not going to happen.
