Well two new(ish) developments:

1) Trump has issued an executive order stating that the President can decide the law and is the supreme dictator: https://www.politico.com/news/2025/02/18/trump-order-power-independent-agencies-00204798

2) Trump has declared that if Ukraine didn't want war, Zelensky shouldn't have started one. Thus stating that he is firmly allied with Putin.

He has already carried out a Stalinesque purge of the Kennedy Centre to control the arts.

Do you think the USA realise that they are turning into a Stalinist dictatorship?

<pipe dream> They need a general strike. Instigated/coordinated by all the sacked civil servants whom Trump is begging back due to running stuff like his nucular weapons.
<\dream.

You never know, the backlash, if it comes, might lead to the US growing a proper left-wing movement for the first time.

Um, as a physicist I'm not particularly impressed with Trudeau mixing up the number of quantum states and the uncertainty principle and the wave particle duality. Not quite physics word salad, but not too far.

That doesn't stop Trump being a clown, but this clip doesn't quite make the point it was meant to make. Unfortunately it is not far from the quality of the stuff that the local MAGAt fanboi posts.

Trump called Zelensky a dictator! Not Putin!

It’s not great when falsehoods are thrown about to stop other people saying the same which applies to you.

It’s getting very scary now.

Apparently (source=BBC Newsnight & Bowen) Trump is now parroting Putin's drivel about and trying to discredit Zelenskyy, "no elections" (just compare to Russian "elections" as Ukraine is in the middle of a major war with no access significant parts of the country to organise any voting!) as well as 4% approval rating which is apparently total fiction as Zelenskyy's approval rating is higher than Trump's. Even accusing Ukraine if starting the war! Siding with the aggressor who invaded a neighbour.

I suspect that Trump might be gaining an ally in Putin/Russia (who BBC Russia based correspondent is reporting are "over the Moon celebrating their coming in from the cold") but much of the Rest of the World will not be seeking closer ties with what is now seem as an unreliable amoral partner.
