IIRC this was one of the concerns when the presidential immunity was before the US courts.

The SC decision that he had absolute immunity when exercising core constitutional powers opened a Pandora's box.

Quite frankly I would be astonished if there is not blood shed by the time the Republican party returns from its Trumpian idolatry.

Let's look at the false declarations by Trump, the tax avoidance by Trump, the defaulting on loans, the failures to pay suppliers, the defrauding of students at Trump University, misuse of charity funds, use of bankruptcies and SLAPP actions, lies about his wealth and valuations to defraud banks etc. Then we can move on to Santos, Rubio, Giuliani etc
