I really have no idea why people think that using reason with someone who has no intention of listening to it is going to have any effect other than giving him the attention he wants.
I remember a programme years ago where a scientist was explaining to a US creationist how the Grand Canyon was formed, and included a demonstration of how water running downhill was part of the process, and the creationist replied that "If God wants water to run uphill, it will." At that point, you knew there was no point in continuing to hope that reason would prevail.

Farmer Obama: We have too many cows and we need to downsize the farm. We will be reducing the breeding programme and gradually reducing the herd in a humane way. Older cows will be let out to pasture and the bull will not be allowed into the cow field for multiple breeding sessions. Obviously we need to ensure that we still have milk production and some beef stock and to make sure the farm can still run safely.
