Not really.
There's just no point in discussing anything on this thread because inevitably things end up back in the toilet.
This though, is the key line for me:
"The new paper’s authors call for more rigorous long-term research"
I agree.
The perceived knee jerk hysteria around transgender people is wild.
You read the whole article and that's your only thought?
There's none so blind as those who will not see.

My initial one was "Oh, an opinion piece on City Journal, this is almost certainly going to have an anti trans angle", and I was right.
Like I said it's pointless trying to have any kind of rational discussion about the topic on here.
I could point out that women's football teams regularly beat mens/boys teams, and that getting beaten 7 - 1 in a training match where they used 28 players and had their third choice goalie in nets for the opposition during the game, but that would fall on deaf ears, to continue your impairment analogy.
Likewise I've tried to introduce positive things about women on the thread and they generally get ignored or dismissed.
Its a shame Monica has left us, I'd like to have read his reaction to this report.
Likely be called a s***head, Bi-got
I'd doubt it. Personally I agree that more research needs to be done. I'm still not really agreeing with monkers side of the fence. I am still of the opinion that gender dysphoria is a mental health condition - usually associated with childhood trauma, and that while hormone treatment may help some people, it may have severe impacts for others. I'm not sure that just giving people what they want is necessarily the best treatment, although for some people that might be the difference between life and suicide.Do you have anything at all to say on the subject of the harms caused by cross-sex hormones?

Apart from what a cruel, evil experiment of vulnerable children. Those responsible should face charges
