I'm not sure how that is better, but still.

Opinions, opinions dear chap

Are you now denying that said this?

Only I've pasted your quote in full and in context, and provided a link to it.

Reminder, I did not post to say that was my opinion, but that of some gender critical people, and as it turned out, that did seem to include you.

Yes, gender is a social construction. I've said it several times. How can it be anything else?

You seek to make gender real and do away with the material reality of sex so that performing the stereotypes of the nebulous 'gender' becomes the definition of what a man or woman is. If performing feminine stereotypes becomes what 'woman' means then any man can be a woman based simply on how he dresses, looks, acts.

And you are gender critical, yes? And that is what I said, that some gender critical people believe that gender is a social construct. You can look back and check it for yourself.

You've been trying to argue with me about it since. Why?

Your follow on was this: "If 'man' or 'woman' is a social construct, then it must follow that any person can adopt one or the other or neither or be fluid". That only follows if 'man' and 'woman' is divorced from biology; it's not a necessary corollary of gender being a social contract.

And you did say 'gender is a social construct' despite denying it.

Actually you didn't quote me saying it. That aside, you and my aunt used almost exactly the same form of words. You agreed that gender is a social construct - however you drew the conclusion from different branches of feminism.

I could be wrong but you sound like a mix of Judith Butler and Shulamith Firestone, while monkers was more bell hooks.

I am who I happen to be. My birth was as much an accident or coincidence of events as anybody else's.

Perhaps you could try an argument based on facts?

Perhaps you could stick to facts rather than making 'appeal to authority' arguments based on imaginary personas. That this imaginary legal expert character gets the law wrong is quite funny though.
