This apparently has been done (although I'm not convinced that in most hospitals it would have been changed in the first place).

FWIW the BBC haven't reported on it yet as it's one of those "the Health Secretary is going to say" jobs. They will likely wait until he has *actually said it* rather than reporting on the press release.

I'll wager that this proposal, which is actually no more than a statement of intention to consult, is nothing more than red meat for the baying mob and will be implemented as it's actually totally impractical.

Even some in his own party are opposed one Minister saying “I’m fed up of feeling intimidated by bigots and want people to know we’re still a home for LGBT+ people. Many of us will not back down.”
