Perhaps you could stick to facts rather than making 'appeal to authority' arguments based on imaginary personas. That this imaginary legal expert character gets the law wrong is quite funny though.

Lawyers and judges frequently disagree with each other. In the Supreme Court on hearing the same case, judgments are more often not unanimously carried than they are.

If you think about what I do write, I tend to argue based on international and human rights legislation, and on the decisions made by the courts. I am obliged to follow the rulings of the courts as we all are, that does not preclude the idea that I or any other lawyer can take a professional view of it.

At the present time, the case of Christine Goodwin still holds, therefore that is the law at its most supreme level in the UK. People are free to disagree that it is good law, and I have no difficulty with that.

F*cking hell. And I thought the tit for that between me and Jowwy was tedious...

Thank you for the timely reminder. This is indeed very tedious, especially when people are determined to attempt to dismantle another person's unstated opinion.

I'm on a day off from work and on-line looking for a house, so should put my time to better use.

Happy house hunting!

Zoe Leventhal KC, representing the minister for women and equalities, argued that the guidance may have been too simplistic in suggesting that, for example, a trans woman should not use a women's toilet in a public space. She suggested that it could be judged on a case-by-case basis.

The minister needs your special transvestigation skills Andy that you plan to operate on all women everywhere.

I hate to break it to you but this isn' the "gotcha" you think it is. Numerous papers are reporting on it but none cite the source.
Most EPRs now record Gender Identity and Gender Identity Same at Birth Indicator. This is to comply with the equality act.

When the prostate stats were compiled, there are therefore a number of possibilities:
1) The data comes from an older system where only gender can be recorded and not the indicator - thus the indicator has been misapplied (or just not applied - generally a normal state of affairs)
2) The stats were published but the GISB flag was not used to "convert" the gender to reduce the blood pressure of Daily Mail readers

There are a lot of men in the UK. A percentage of the stats are probably down to recording errors.
