For those trapped perpetually in to taking irreversible drugs

Different drugs, different condition, but a choice I made over 48 years ago in the case of one, 42 for the second. Now unable to be taken off them safely. Thirty other medications tried to try and get me off them, none have worked so far.
The side effects of the first include bone thinning, liver damage and diabetes. All three I'm being treated for, and are non-reversible. It excludes the use of painkillers, many antibiotics. Both of which I'd say you'd take without a second thought.
