Israel are calling the apparent failure to return the correct body "a violation of the utmost severity".

A reminder that there are 14,000 bodies (mostly civilians s, half of whom are children) still buried in the rubble that makes up 65% of Gaza now. And realistic estimates of Gazan death toll is 62,000.

Dozens of Palestinians have been killed by the Israelis during the ceasefire. One Israeli has....killed by the IDF who thought he was a Palestinian.

I think we had already established that the value of a non westerner is about 0.003 of a westerner, probably more like 0.00003 if the westerner is an israeli, so the israeli military still have some way to go to reach parity with Hamas.

I don't think oppression produces rape and sexual violence. Those actions are a choice.

I can hypothesise a lot of situations that could cause "wrong body" to happen through genuine mistake. I have no evidence any may or may not be the case, but "fog of war" can complicate stuff the west considers commonplace. But suppose bomb drops on building housing hostages and Palestinians. Bodies are recovered but in unrecognisable state and rescuers believe they have recovered the hostage body but can't tell 100% because of the circumstances ... As I say no suggestion this is what occured but extreme reaction without even inquiring as to possible causes strikes me as potentially looking to create outrage rather than resolve anything.
