I found this report quite a shock. I'd thought Trump's Gaza-a-Lago was just a daft idea where Trump speaks without any brain behind what comes out (like his "let's inject bleach to cure Covid" madness). But this report seems to suggest they really are trying to progress the idea of moving Palestinians out of Gaza
Sudan rejects US request to discuss taking in Palestinians under Trump’s Gaza plan
US and Israel reportedly contacted officials in Sudan, Somalia and Somaliland

Sudanese officials say they have rejected a request from the US to discuss taking in Palestinians displaced from Gaza under Donald Trump’s plan to turn the territory into a “Riviera on the Mediterranean”.

According to an Associated Press report, the US and Israel contacted officials in Sudan, Somalia and Somaliland about resettling uprooted Palestinians. The contacts suggested both countries are determined to press ahead with Trump’s proposal ...

Some of us have been pointing this out for over a year now on BR.

IMO nothing in the Middle East is ever black and white."

I think the direction of travel now, with Trump's not well disguised support, is for the Gaza strip to eventually be part of Israel. Step 1, make it uninhabitable.

Rosen has been consistent, but very measured in his criticisms of Israel, for obvious reasons.

I don't see how Israel can expect to be trusted for any "ceasefire" in future nor how the US can pretend to be any sort of honest broker in any negotiations. Seems to me there was a 2nd phase already layed-out just minor detailsto be negotiated yet Israel broke the terms of phase 1 several weeks ago (stopping all humanitarian aid) and now is radically trying to change the terms of phase 2.

And supposedly a "ceasefire" is in effect yet no appart from stopping all aid, now lots of bombing and civilian deaths.
