This has always been the issue though, vast vested financial interest having its grimy hands on the levers of power.
If you make billions from extracting from the commons, and face practically zero consequences from the pollution of same, you will of course be able to pay multiple lobbyists to promote your interests.
In addition to buying off unprincipled politicians and of course dangling the prospect of further enrichment in front of them.

Earth over-shoot day was yesterday.
Still lots to be done, but the date has shifted slightly in the correct direction over the last couple of years.
We need to move much faster, and more decisively now.

Love this. High risk wrt arrests (but less than the Dartford operation) but good on points scored with public.

Well working at height, whilst also looking down the loaded barrel of climate change would stress even the most level headed.
Compared with being paid to making up a load of tabloid cobblers about supposed 'jobless unwashed eco loon tree huggers'
I'm very happy with the side of history I've stood on, not so happy that we're still having to protest this stuff.
