Yeah, wouldn't hold your breath. She said a bunch of things at PMQ and I doubt her boss (Hunt) is going to take much notice of it.

Pensions are the elephant in the room with spending cuts. If they are going down that road, and it looks like it, they won't make much headway without revisiting the triple lock.

I think there is something I am not getting here.

She is issuing a three line whip to Tories on a policy that is against the 2019 manifesto and deeply unpopular with a bunch of her backbenchers and their constituents. Plus it is a policy that makes no economic or technical sense - it won't help the immediate energy problems and almost certainly won't change the longer term energy security.

The individual MPs are screwed. They have to vote for a policy they and their constituents do not want, in order to protect a PM that they don't want all to keep their job in the short term which they will likely lose in the next GE. Even going out with a bang is not a great prospect, although in that situation I would be tempted to cross the floor with a deal to represent the new party at the next GE.

It looks like the 3 line whip has been withdrawn and this evening's fractious sitting is no longer being treated as a vote of no confidence. I guess there were enough Tories ready to rebel that the government might have fallen.
