Been there too. Probably the daftest was in the mid 80s and taking home a sofa bed on the roof rack of a Golf. This was in the very early days of Ikea and I mistakenly thought, like seemingly everything sold there, it would come in bits. I was a little shocked when it was wheeled out after the checkout, dressed not in cardboard but a clear plastic wrap.
They certainly tasted good. If nothing else, given that she can make a cake like that at 15, she will not starve. Tiktok and Netflix seem to have taught her a lot about cakes (as well as her mum).
Personally, I deplore the demise of the "fruit cake" centre.
