An erroneous premise that limits the options to two starkly opposed positions? You are talking as if Starmer can only either come out batting for the orange paint brigade or has to lock us into fossil fuel deals for the foreseeable. Whereas he could just, er, do what he was elected to do - frame a progressive platform with a demeanour of besuited competence for the benefit of those that are impressed by such things.
