It's more tragic than offensive, TBH. Getting all aerated over fictional mixed-race couples pretending to move house or buy widgets and not grasping that Navratilova and Graf played, er, tennis.
Aerated no, bemused yes.

Fiction is the key word, some poor bastard in advertising thinks casting this unrealistic scenario appeases the lefties.

Anyroad,

The mighty Wolverhampton Wanderers are hosting Arsenal tonight in what could see us break into the top 6 if we win so as much as my views on the World are vital to you I need to don my 'uniform ' and get down the local for some much needed pre match banter.

Adios Woke-ego's!
Lost!!!

Oh well, Spurs away Sunday.

Not unrealistic in my experience. What a culturally impoverished world you must inhabit.

Nationally one in ten households reports being inter-ethnic or inter-cultural. The figure is far higher in London and other big cities than in many of the less civilised backwaters.
1 in 10 adverts would be a realistic representation then, play 'spot the straight White couple ' next time you watch any adverts that are UK made.

I hope you are not calling me a 'woke leftie'

anyway what has a 'Roblox World Championship Wrestling" got to do with the price of fish

as my Dad would have said
or he migth have if he had ever heard of Roblox

I'm afraid In some folks eyes, anyone who isn't a fully paid up, ramrod straight, bird biffing* flag waving, RWCW is a 'woke leftie' darling

So you may as well just accept you're one of
'us lot'.

Still - there are worserer things to be called ...

I don't watch much telly so maybe someone else can answer this, but do you see many BAME, ie not mixed, families and couples in advertising? Because if not then we have to be open to the possibility that advertisers still feel the need to stick a white person in everything and that it's actually white culture which is being appeased.

To be honest anyone who whilst watching TV spends their time thinking if advertiser's are using gay/bame/ginger....people are probally in need of a hobby of some sorts 🙄
Only ones who piss me of are Ant and Dec doing Iceland.
Don't get me started !

Sainsburys' series of christmas 2020 adverts featured several different families in several separate adverts, one of which happened to be a black family. The racists of Britain (led by chief racist Laurence Fox and his self declared boycott of Sainsburys for celebrating Black History Month) got rather miffed about this.

The advert: -

A few of the responses from racists:
