Not a clue?
It's Marie Antoinette if that helps ("Let them eat cake")

Cant help feeling the "not a clue" part is a bit more broad ranging than just not getting references to out-of-touch French Aristocracy..

This is what Cameron's inclusion of the third sector meant .

There was a guy a little while back, who wanted to make a film about me - waxing lyrical about 'Food Heroes' and all that Huge Furry Whatsischops type guff.

I suggested that, his n mine politics might not chime so well, cos I thought it was pretty rubbish that things such as Food Banks, and zero hours economy had become normalised .

He justified his free market, low taxation, devil take the hindmost, political ideas, by saying that he thought there would always be enough 'nice' people (like me??) around who would see to it that struggling people got taken care of, so why bother with a properly funded welfare state .??

Needless to say, that particular film didn't get made .

"Leader of the House of Commons holds the newly made up post of “Minister of State for Brexit Opportunities and Government Efficiency”. I suppose we’re meant to take from this that an exhausted government is reverting to its culture war comfort zone of trolling Remainers, but the main thing this job title brings to my mind is the way knackered parents keep small children occupied by telling them to search the garden for fairies or somesuch."

Thought you were a Queen fan - you must've always been baffled by that line in 'Killer Queen', then.
True, bit deep for me though.

Welcome yourself into the new modern crisis
Sainsbury's are great though..

They keep the riff raff out of Waitrose .

Oh Jim though .... Gravy granules..???

You know your all your steamed up acolytes have you deglazing the roasting dish with a cheeky glug of merlot
Gah. Nice bit of beef tonight but took so long getting the kids out of the bath that it's caught on the bottom of the pan so I fear the gravy may have a bit of a burnt taste to it.

And we're out of horseradish. Stupid Brexit.

I've got a small horseradish plantation here.
But that's zero help to you at the moment.

But yes stupid Brexit anyhow, condiments notwithstanding..

Sure it's not burnt really..
Just deeply caramelised..

Baked spuds, dhal and kalettes all doing their thing in the oven here

Talking of plantations, am I right in remembering seeing a picture of one of your planted areas that had weedblock down, I think you had a machine for burning the holes in it for the planting too?

Yes and yes...

Although not such a 'machine' more like a single burner flame weeder with a bean can attached by builders band to the shaft.

The flame heats the can up, and burns fray free holes.. but the flame is far enough away from the mipex so as not to cause catastrophic melting elsewhere.

Handy little gadget that's been copied a fair amount now..

If I had a pound for every time - I'd probs have..

Ooo I dunno ?? Twenty quid by now

Thank you.
There is a reason for the diversion, hopefully I can sneak one in before getting told to start a new thread.

I've been using weedblock for a few years now in the veg patches, but was having a little scout at replacing it, and was reading a few things about it being a bit crap for the soil, and the nutrients, and the worms, and all sorts of things really, so I thought I'd ask an expert

What's your thoughts please?
