Last night I was part of a group wrexit chat and we came to the conclusion that no one needs us as much as we need them.
Riveting!

Funnily enough I was involved in a 'live ' chat recently with 4 people who run their own businesses and they have never had so much work, there's always more than 1 side to a story isn't there?

It would fit the Narrative though would it?

Yes there's a real shortage of skilled workers in this country.
That's not actually a good thing, as it stops stuff getting done, and holds up projects.

If you need something doing / building / fixing / making either domestically, or in your business and there's a big delay in achieving that - then it depresses progress all round.

I've got more business than I have capacity to meet - as has my partner, and other friends in trades who are also self employed - sourcing
materials is difficult right now due to covid and brexit fall out.

I've had to put my prices up to cover increased costs, some of those inflationary costs are down to stuff being more expensive after brexit.

It doesn't make me, or anyone else better off.

But still - it's an ill wind that blows no one no good.
