You haven't been over here long enough to realise that the half dozen or so that come on here ask the same sh*t over and over again and whether you answer or not it will make little difference, if however you have a different opinion on the matter it will be cast aside and you'll be asked what the point of commenting is.

You need to realise that this little lot relish in their echo chamber whilst 'fighting the good fight for those that can't', apparently, so sit back, enjoy the craic and relish in their apparent anger at the Brexit voters.

All this whilst most sit in their comfy homes without a financial care in the world, one fella is retired and has a pension 'just below the high tax bracket' so that's a measure of virtue signalling that goes on here.

Obviously I don't know you & the way your mind works. The point of asking questions is to change that. Reading your recent posts it looked like you'd calmed down & were starting to engage a little bit, so I asked a question that occured to me. You answered in an angry, dismissive way.

Fine, there are plenty of people who can't or won't change their minds about anything, that's their prerogative - and if that's you, there's nothing more to talk about. That's it. If you're not interested in any sort of measured discussion I won't bother, no skin off my nose.

I'm fully aware of old jowelsy that's why I'm giving him a bit of breathing space, I doubt I'll learn much from him.

@mudsticks has posted multiple times as to the effects of Brexit. I believe she is in a fortunate position farming wise, but she certainly hasn't been quiet about Brexit impact. Are you reading the forum?

Yes I have posted multiple times about the effects of brexit on the food and farming sector.

I'm not sure I or anyone else here has stomach for it.
I have to speak, and write and debate about it enough in my 'other' life..

Suffice it to say the prospects for UK F&F as a whole is not looking good as things stand.

It was supposed to have been just one possible upside of brexit, where support, for even better farming and food production than that done under the CAP would be given - another lie pedalled by this administration, but aiui that's why some farmers voted brexit - I didn't despite not getting any EU money myself, I wanted to stay in for all the other sensible, and now proven reasons.


Although the proposed ELMS scheme (which is supposed to replace the single farm payment) sounds good on paper - I've peer reviewed a few - it won't be much use when farmers and growers are up against cheap unregulated imports from AUS AUS etc.

Plus were going to see deregulation on pesticides and GM - very worrying


Anyway, there I go again, droning on about it all .

As I've said many times before, I'm doing ok because I've designed a system that works for me, but it isn't the 'standard' model which farmers were strongly encouraged to follow , by many external pressures, not least the demand for cheap (cheap at point of sale) food.

But still, for some curious reason I've got myself involved in trying to at least help steer a course in a better direction for all farmers growers environment, and consumers.

How dumb is that?
Trying to help elsewhere when I'm already "Alright Jack" ..
