Not my industry, but that's pretty scary coming from someone in the know.

I am no wine expert, but, I do consume the odd bottle or two. My particular favourite is Rioja, but, to be honest, I will drink any red. Wine has increased in price by 50% since Brexit, in my experience.

That is without allowing for the fact that I cannot bring back as much as I can carry (100 litres typically), from my European forays.

It's not gone up that much has it ? Fifty percent.I think I usually pay around 7 to 8 quid and I don't remember it being half that.

Blimey, 7 to 8 quid, not surprised you're striking for more money!
I like the finer things in life

Who cares, it's all just elitist stuff, I mean no proper 'Britisher' drinks filthy forrin wine do they,??

If it's not made from dandelions, or turnips, or privet hedge clippings, I'm not really interested.

I'll stick with warm brown h'english beer thanks .
<cough> Apple, pear, rhubarb, blackcurrant, marrow, are all very tasty too. We have a modest (erm 200 or so) bottles under the floor. And I'm keeping a watching eye on this year's fruit for more.
Dandelion is gorgeous, but a pain to make.
