Having just set up a new-old computer I can relate to this. My solution was reverting to an older operating system - and I find that since the last time I was trying to cope with XP in the MS environment lots of nice open source developers have come up with goodies that make it work.
Wave goodbye to worker and consumer rights as we know them.

Will they be replaced by something better? I think you know the answer to that.
As we knew them they were a bit crap anyway. Time for the open source initiative.

I admire your optimism, and aspiration even.

But it was hard enough to get governments (and people) of this country, to properly accept and pursue the cause of workers rights, fair dealing, and unionisation in this country, when we were in the EU.

I don't sadly, hold up much hope for us once further exposed outside the EU

There's just too much apathy, ignorance and complacency.

Not to say many of us won't keep trying, but I don't think looked at realistically that brexiting helped any of the above .

I know EU an exclusive neo-lib club, based on capitalistic principals etc etc..

But it wasn't being in the EU that was holding us back from pursuing greater social democracy, social justice, workers rights and so forth..

You're not getting full compensation for delayed flights in the UK either, down from £220 to an average of £22.36. The govt is describing this as a "Brexit win".

Thunderbird Wine was always a favourite of mine when 'at the swings' as 'yoot'.
