Not news, and wouldn’t have surprised me in the slightest if it was.
A grifters gotta grift.
No its not news. He’s has said as much for years but your comment about MPs and pensions made me think of it.

A grifters gotta grift.
That’s a tricky one.
Surely we have to draw a line somewhere?
What about views which are illegal, hateful and discriminatory?
It should be fairly obvious to people that if you push the boundaries of public opinion, then you will attract unwanted attention.
The line is that abuse of someone is wrong
Abuse is never an acceptable course of action.
Sadly your view seems to imply that not abusing someone is aking to agreeing with someone.
It is possible to disagree with someone and to oppose their views without needing to abuse them, no matter what their views are
Yet so many whilst banging this drum seem to think its fine to abuse Farage and others whose views they disagree with
People need to look closer to home at time.
Abuse of anyone for their views, whatever they are, is wrong
Are we talking about verbal abuse or physical abuse? What is your definition of when an insult turns to abuse?
It is nothing new, in fact Diane Abbott has probably been the subject of insults/abuse more than any other politician in recent years, well before social media was used to make Farage became another victim.
Its really a simple concept Abuse is wrong.
It does not matter whether its physical or verbal
It does not matter what the victims or perpetrators political, religious or sexual views are
Its unhelpful to try to somehow justify / condone abuse to one person because someone whose views you agree with has also been the victim of abuse. There is a great saying that 2 wrongs do not make a right
Sadly tribal views expressed on here as elsewhere show people cannot simply condemn all abuse. They only condemn it when "their" side are victims and try to justify it when the victim is one of their "opponents"
D'you reckon your condescension and questioning of other peoples' cognitive abilities might constitute a form of abuse?
Probably not.
Trying to avoid the issue and trivialise abuse now?
Its really a sad reflection that you seem unable to condemn abuse per se
Disagreement as you well know is not abuse
