Seemingly trivial things that elicit an emotional response of some kind

Annoyance with myself. I had to pick my daughter up from Heathrow on Wednesday evening which meant going into the ULEZ zone which I was completely aware of and knew my car isn't compliant. I meant to pay on my return home but it was around midnight and by time we'd unloaded the car I completely forgot. I suddenly remembered yesterday morning but that was beyond the third day so I could no longer pay the charge so now waiting for the fine so I can pay £90 instead of £12.50. I've now set up a direct debit for auto pay, not that it's something I will use very often and hopefully by time I next enter the zone I'll have a complaint car anyway.

Entirely my own fault and I'm in favour of ULEZ zones but there is a certain irony having to pay to enter a low emission zone next to one of the world's biggest airports with all the associated emissions though.

I ordered some small bike parts from China.

According to the tracker it took 60 hours from my click to buy, to the package clearing customs in the UK.

So how does it take six days to get from the UK airport to my home? That includes three full days to get 27 miles from Yeovil to my house!

I was ridiculously annoyed at the lies I was told by the delivery company called centre staff. Address does not exist, customer changed delivery method, etc, etc.

When the driver finally arrived he told me the parcel had been lost, but their systems have no code for that.

I think the idea is to encourage people to get a 'cleaner' car, although ironically that's how I came to own my little V8 thunder wagon, as the Mazda diesel I was previously using as a runabout was going to get clobbered by ULEZ charges as Sadiq expanded the zone.

Agree, putting a major airport inside the ULEZ zone is stupid.

People are on the ground. Cars are on the ground. Planes are in the air. They leave Heathrow pretty quickly. The ULEZ is about cars and lorries, not planes.

Think of all the harmful emissions from those planes when taking off and landing. Don't you want to protect those poor Heathrow residents, who couldn't have possibly have realised there was a large airport nearby when they moved into the area?

Sure. How is that relevant to the ULEZ? Isn't it hot enough already without you producing mindless hot air?
