You know it's a slow news day when Today on R4 dedicates 10 minutes to eel news, eel culture (culinary) and an eel song.

Boredom.

Farage obviously hasn't said anything for them to report on ad nauseam.

Apps that add no value. For example, you're in a random Swedish town and need a bus. It requires an app. You book a train ticket with Great Western. Another app. You go to the cricket at Lords. The Lords app. You watch an ICC match at Lords. The ICC app.

Couldn't agree more. It would be much better to have a single app that could load up information from any website. You could call it something exciting like "Explorer" or "Safari".

Indeed so. Some apps are awesome, but the ones you have to check whether you're on the app or the webpage are just silly.

Option 1. Download app.
Option 2. Continue on browser.

Why isn't option 2 considered implied by the fact you were using the browser before the popup got in the way.

I was hoping to go back to the halcyon days when they could just email me a ticket.

At the time I did moan about Easyjet removing boarding passes from their own app, making them only available as printable pdf's, or via Google Wallet. "Grrr!" said I. But actually I changed my mind fairly quickly, as use GW quite a bit, as it's designed to do specific jobs and does them quite well.
