A lot of what might happen depends on if Streeting declares a challenge.

If it’s just Streeting vs Starmer I suspect Starmer might win. Streeting being out would be a step in the right direction as I consider him a dangerous fool.

Not read about it but is it Burnham trying to oust sitting MPs or just a fantasy narrative concocted by clickbait hacks.
I don‘t really know much about him but from what I’ve seen he seems a pretty straight forward sort. I’m just a bit surprised that he is interested in returning to Westminster, as he seemed very aware of its shortcoming.

I suspect it is a little of both. I would certainly think he is making plans. Whether he has sounded any MP's out is anyone's guess. I have actually met him through an old job. He certainly didn't give off any red flags personality wise, but I am sure like many people in his line of work that there is a fair bit of ego involved.

I doubt that he is going around trying to persuade sitting MPs to stand down, but rather those who would like to see him as leader trying to do the persuading...for the "greater good of the party/country".

Never really been bothered by what people call me, so feel free 😂

Any thoughts on the actual (cynical) view of Burnham's motives?

I don't know enough about Manchester's situation to be able to comment. From a long way away it looks big and shiny, and has decently integrated public transport, but I've no idea how sustainable that is or how it's been achieved, Amy. (It's OK, the novelty will wear off. Or I'll just forget it, given my age.)

You'll forget, Shirley.
