It doesn't matter what the sample size is when other larger polls are mirroring the same opinion. The skew on the narrator, was people are voting against the status quo. No they want immigration slashed in numbers, they want illegal and criminals deported, they want safer streets, they want better life, earnings. Labour and the Tories aren't and haven't in the past delivered those demands, in fact they have got far worse

Starmer's labour proving to be the best recruiter for Farage.

I got a card through the door today. My MP (Labour) wants to know what's really important to me and my family.

I'll try to tell her. Maybe it'll make a difference.

I got same, yesterday. I wonder if we have same MP (Kate Osborne) or is this a more widespread phenomenon?

.

I saw that report on C4 News and for me the trouble is it's such a small sample size. They seemed to be creating different groups based on who the voted for so not even random. Bit like stopping "random" people in the street then selecting which ones are broadcast to ensure a "balance".

Has anyone on here ever stopped for one of those surveys?
I'm assuming you have to be a certain type in the first place.

Such things tend to be self-selecting, as do street interviews of course, because usually only people with strong opinions can be bothered to do a survey or are prepared to be on the telly.

Yes. True for all kinds of strong opinions - those with the loudest voices distort such surveys regardless.

Aye - Strong opinions indeed.

It's self selecting that's the big issue. Surveys are fine if they are conducted by reputable companies in line with established scientific procedures to ensure representative results, eg cross section of demographics, balanced questions. Any survey that is self selecting of respondents, eg advertised for anybody to complete online, are usually unreliable.

Rachel from accounts is slashing civil service- that's good right, get rid waste and bloat.

But why is it taking nearly 5 years to achieve the piddly £2 billion in savings. Christ, they spaff far more than that on foreign aid every year.

Window dressing, again

senior military sources dismissed the plans, telling that Sir Keir had “got ahead of himself”.

Earlier this weekend, Donald Trump’s special envoy dismissed the plans as “a posture and a pose”. Steve Witkoff said the idea was based on a “simplistic” notion of the Prime Minister and other European leaders thinking “we have all got to be like Winston Churchill”.

Regardless of what the Orange One thinks, I would be very sceptical about any military plan(s) formulated by a committee of 30 members

Is that the Steve Witkoff real estate developer pal of Donald Trump who doesn’t even know the names of the real estate areas of Ukraine that Trump wants to make money out of by giving them to Putin as part of the deal for Ukraine redevelopment.
Starmer has his limitations but that guy is a joke.
