I'm not sure that they *drink* it. Apparently scotch whiskey is seen as a huge status symbol and has been since the colonial days.
Pedant alert - Scotch whisky.
Plus, I’m not even sure about “Scotch”.

No reason for it to delay anything as mitigations for that control are very very straightforward. Calculations straightforward. Just that many Planning Applications fail to even submit the data (which takes no time to prepare).Depends what you class as environmental protections. The neutrient neutrality farce has delayed thousands of planned new homes.

And it is a very important protection. UK is one on the worst countries in the world for biodiversity loss yet our politicians seen hell bent on removing what few protections remain.

There will be no reciprocal take up from British businesses going to India.
Nobody from the UK will want to go work and live in India as an employee

There will not be the same take up in numbers, not hundred of thousands turning up, which will happen in the UK
Immigrant housing costs revealed.
£15bn. £4 million per day.
Starmer is totally complicit in this continued decline of the UK
Area where I live I pay close attention to Planning Applications and comment on a fair number that don't directly impact me. It's an endless stream of applications for new properties with no nutrient neutrality calculation so planners respond with it meeds tbe calculations/mitigation, then there is the delay 'cos the applicant drags their feet over something that takes no time. Round me it's not the nutrient neutrality that causes the delay it's the applicants. Not really, 74 planning authorities put a pause on things whilst the issue was being addressed. That's a lot of housing schemes being delayed.
Again it seems starmer/Labour blaming environmental protections for hindering building and growth are found baseless, found baseless by the Government itself.
Isn't stoppin g them sweeping away environmental protections and their "Nature Recovery Fund (NRF)" highlights their lack of understanding and is beyond a joke - there is a reason some species are only in certain localities and spending the fund eg in a different county won't help those species being severly impacted.
Yet another case of Starmer/Labour failing.

Glad that the report is prominent enough that others are seeing it ie not just my focus on such issues.UK government admits almost no evidence nature protections block development
Whitehall analysis provides no data or research to support the government argument that environmental legislation holds up building

Which was created by your favourite politicians. Nice one.
