I have a funny feeling that Corbyn's new party might be quite popular with certain sections of society. I can certainly see a few people on here might vote for them even if they might be a bit shy about it (which is understandable).

I'm looking forward to seeing what they call it.

Certainly won't be attracting my vote, I think as FA suggests he may be more likely to get the ex-Labour vote that would otherwise have gone to Farage i.e. those that feel disenfranchised.

Do you think that would get reflected if a General Election was called today though? Most people get a dose of reality when they enter the polling booth.

I wouldn't have expected you to be voting for them. This article describes who the likely supporters are:
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/24/if-youre-a-hard-left-cultist-this-is-indeed-your-party/

Quote in case firewalled: "I guess it depends on how you define “Your”. If you mean a party for rancid hate-mongers, hard-Left ideologues, economic basket cases and other cultists then yes, it is indeed your party. Or, more accurately, one of your parties, because there has never been a shortage to choose from. Take your pick from, among myriad others, the Workers’ Party, the Socialist Labour Party, the Socialist Party and the Socialist Workers’ Party, which sometimes make me wonder if they were the ones satirising Monty Python’s Judean People’s Party and People’s Party of Judea, rather than the other way round."

If you follow the link to the poll it just takes you to another independent article that says no such thing.

Anyhow, I am yet to be convinced that Reform won't save us the worry and eat itself before the next election. They are already building up a good flow of resignations and personal disagreements.

Also, I wonder if the actual aim of Garages various parties is not to govern, because let's face it he's ill suited to that, but rather to dupe the main parties into adopting some of his policies. He is quite good at that.
