Anyone who thought that taxes weren't going to have to be raised was deluded. I include those in the Labour Party.
It would also be required whoever won that election, and the next one. Reform included, although people will vote for unicorns.
Not only the last election but also the last budget when we (and business) were all assured that they have fixed the economy and won't be coming back for more. So (assuming tax rises and broken manifesto pledges happen) they'll have done it twice.

If tofay there was a question asked of the English, do they want to keep Scotland or let them do their own thing. It would be get rid

As usual, the evidence is contrary to your claim.

I didn't say that they needed permission of somebody else. I think that the English should also have a say - I.e. do we want to leave them? Self determination, as you say.

What form would expressing this ‘say’ take? It can’t be a vote as that implies permission and if it can’t affect the outcome, what’s the purpose?

Yep, Let’s face it, if you tell the truth you won’t get the votes. People can’t handle the truth, it just isn’t appealing.

So, who is telling the feel-good lies, who is going to promise a better life. In the end we are going to be disappointed.

Nothing, except you lot bleat on about independence so often.

Better to get rid 👍

Perhaps if there was a vote here to ''get rid'' of you, how would you feel about that?

Yes you can! 😉
We've been living beyond our means for decades, the country's economy is broken, there is no easy fix, and nobody will admit or face up to it.
