You clearly have moments yourself, like when choosing your username for one.

If somebody makes a deliberately self-deprecating joke, thinking that you can use it to
attack them just makes you look a dick ;)

Corbyn accepted Brexit in 2017 because to not do so would have handed the Tories a huge majority. He could have sold a socialist Brexit maybe who knows.
But either way he was undermined by those on his own side who wanted to block it.
You got what you wanted didn't you...numpty 🙄

Errr no. Corbyn simply kept quiet being the opposition. He no doubt is of the same Brexit opinion as Mike Lynch.
The socialist Brexit probably entertained trade deals with Cuba and Russia.

Really? You surprise me

The amount of students I've worked with over the years in the telecom industry has never failed to reinforce my belief that most haven't a clue about the real world, I'm sure once they've spent a few years post uni they wake up but until then they're usually fookin useless!

But Corbyn never kept quiet about his love for Russia....thought it was well known 🙄
You realize how silly that sounds don't you...Russia,Cuba,Marxist,Communist blah blah
The most bizarre thing is to keep harking back to Brexit as some sort of gotcha ffs.
There was a different Brexit available if we chose a different government to the Tories.I know that might be difficult for you to get your head round but there were problems here well before the Brexit referendum.

Yet, but for Corbyn Brexit would have been 'for the nutters'.

Brexit is and always was 'mad as a hatter'.

Well, this is all very edifying. Isn't there a Brexit thread over thataway? >>>

This one is for Starmer fans (if such a thing exists) to wow us all with his vision for a better society.

Someone give me a positive reason to vote Labour at the next GE. Starmer obviously doesn't need my vote, so I can be free to vote in good conscience for something I actually want, or to not vote at all. I am all ears.

I've just got back from the pub. Stephen Kinnock is on the telly (reminder below of who he is), arguing furiously about a 1mm difference in policy from what I think is Robert Jenrick, or some indistinguishable criminal. Hislop is on - I'm guessing he hasn't mentioned Cohen. There's a Scottish journalist who I guess might be alright if I hung around to listen, and a dull author who has obviously been chosen for her role in the culture wars. fark the lot of them, and everything else that passes for political discussion in the mainstream media - I am going to have another beer and catch up on The Apprentice.

Fark of them, and everything else that passes for political discussion in the mainstream media -

QT is an entertainment programme now. That is why they brought on fascist harpie, Lionel Shriver, and why they always have at least one professional controversialist on the panel. The party politicians are effectively campaigning, so if you want detailed truthful political analysis you aren't going to find it here.

Labour are skewered between failed-Corbynites, who offer nothing except the vestigial memory of Corbyn's irascible self-righteousness, and a wall of culture war that they can never win. They can't win because public discourse doesn't go far beyond soundbites, and the tastiest ones have nothing to do with kindness, fairness, or truth. Besides, in harder times it's always nice to have someone to hate.

Important sections of the Labour leaning public are still primed by brexit and like the taste of transphobia and racism, but Labour need their votes regardless.

I'm not sure how you navigate your way through that sea of sh1te without getting splashed, are you?
