(Obviously it's even more academic for Burnham, as he's not even an MP.)
Few days ago Clive Lewis interviewed was asked and said he'd give up his seat to allow Burnham to stand in the by-election. I thought Lewis' seat was fairly secure Labour (though what extent that still applies might be questioned and how much is due to Lewis and how much Labour I have no idea).

Burnham, if taking up such an offer, needs to remember the name Patrick Gordon-Walker....

I'm not sure there are any labour safe seats any more. The left leaning part of the electorate may have held their noses and given labour the benefit of the doubt in the last election, but Starmer has done nothing but antagonise those voters.

In that respect he's not unlike the later Tory government that seemed to antagonise everyone, from left-leaning, to pragmatists, to minorities, apart from the far right press and voters. And he should know how that turned out.

Glasman is so nuts he can't even separate different meanings of individual words. I assume that on the same basis he avoids going to an airport terminal for fear of the word 'terminal'.

No wonder Labour is so screwed.

It sums up the intellectual paucity of Starmer's leadership.

My suspicion is he makes himself sound clever by spouting weird stuff that no-one else has come up with, with various literary and historical references... but maybe no-one else has come up with it because it's, well, just nuts.
