If you aren't going to "hammer' the rich or middle classes, what's the plan, Batma
Poor people. That's always the plan for people like Stevo.

Mind you, Reeves and Starmer seem to think the poor are the problem as well. I don't think many saw that coming.

Starmer is now going to offer further concessions to backbenchers after they were not satisfied with the offer.

I wonder what could he offer 🤔

F*ck Stevo, f*ck Starmer's attempts to attract Reform voters and whilst we're on about Reform and the TVs on, f*ck Rod Stewart.

When your Gran tells you about that nice Nigel Farage.

I think this is a good analysis of Starmer's problems:

Avon and Somerset are reportedly investigating global comments on several performances at Glastonbury at the weekend that the Government and various lobby groups did not like. Since they clearly have a very wide remit now, perhaps they could take a look at this John Betjeman poem which advocates violence on the citizens of Slough

Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough!
It isn’t fit for humans now,
There isn’t grass to graze a cow.
Swarm over, Death!

Come, bombs and blow to smithereens
Those air -conditioned, bright canteens,
Tinned fruit, tinned meat, tinned milk, tinned beans,
Tinned minds, tinned breath....

Just been listening the "The News Agents" podcast where they had a long interview with the Starmer whisperer, Tom Baldwin (Starmer's biographer?) and, good grief, nothing but a cheerleader for Starmer. The biographer just acting as a Starmer spokesperson, about how great he is. Waste of time for a biographer as absolutely no independent thought, no seeing and shortcomings. Beggared belief (and fortunately the podcast interviewers did ask some searching questions and the answers just further highlighted his cheerleading).

Sounds like you didn’t get what you hoped for.

To be honest I wasn't looking for anything. it was Just a podcast on my list and part of it was this interview and I was shocked/disappointed as one would hope a biography would be an independent view not cheerleading, a bit of independence bit of critical thought.

Assuming it's an authorised biography that's pretty much what I would expect. They claim 'warts and all' but usually the subject has enough control that you only see the warts they want and the genital version stays well hidden.
