What is the obsession? Is it like the Thatcher thing about strong women, but as Rayner's Labour, they have to criticise rather than idolise?

She's a first class hypocrite

Her recent Hove flat purchase for example. She employed a tax avoidance company to advise her on how to save stamp duty.

Perfectly fine for any individual to do

Except

She a politician, banging on about stripping people's rights away to save paying tax themselves.

It's because they think a 'lefty' (their definition, not mine) is being hypocritical if they live anywhere more salubrious than inside a binbag under an upturned skip.

I think if you put that together with @Ian_H's observation, we're getting close.

If I were being really naughty, I'd suggest that some people fancy her, but can't square that with her not speaking posh or having been to posh school, so have a pop at her instead.

But I'm not naughty, so I'll not suggest that.

I remember reading Alan Clark's account of going slightly weak at the knees at the sight of Margaret Thatcher's ankles. Mind you, he was doubtless drunk at the time.

I suspect you are correct.

And she is the strumpet who distracted that nice, pure Mr Johnson.
