Also a good example of why not-routinely-shooting-suspects-dead is a wise default: one of the two arrested was released without charge.

I'm not sure if the stuff about the knifeman shouting something about the devil are true, but mental illness seems likely. Mind you, living in Peterborough could equally be the cause.
