I'm not sure how we overcome this level of incivility and downright weaponised hatred. (David Blunkett, in the Financial Times.) It's hard enough to find the best least-worst solutions in troubled times as it is, but it's impossible if this is how political differences manifest themselves.

Yes. Even more than a Sunak / Johnson led Tory party too (jury is out on whether it will be worse than Truss but we’ll have it for 5 years instead of a few days).

Yup.

I think it's bad enough that the Conservatives would get my vote if it meant keeping Reform out. (Theoretically of course. None of these parties stand in my constiuency.)

Given some of Burnham's likely could be 'Liz Truss' of Labour but with longer in power.

We may get to see at some point fairly soon just how bad a further left version of Labour can be. Might change a few minds.
