It is quite remarkable how quickly this is happening.

Aldi having a very passable Côtes du Rhône for £5.25. The other good news is that I'm feeling kinda normal enough to feel like my first glass of wine since, hmm, probably February sometime. Genuinely can't remember, which suggests that it was a very long time ago.

Actually might risk a real bike over the weekend, given that the borrowed e-bike hasn't put me anywhere near Borg level 11 for any length of time. But would start with flat, and see how it goes. Need to ask the rehab person on Monday if I should do some level 13 efforts now.

I wouldn't be so sure. I just think that people have simply accepted it an moved on without it being reported any more.
My wife and I both had a bad "cold" last month that lasted for 3 weeks which could well have been Covid. We didn't even go to the GP.

PS - It is good news in that it is no longer the scary issue that it was in 2020.

Did you read her thread? She presents evidence that it probably really is at a very low level.

Other viruses are available. Just that they aren't covid.

We had a big company get together in February. After it quite a few of us had bad colds. The general consensus was COVID. However, the few of us that tested were negative for COVID. I think we are back to a bad cold being the most likely explanation of bad cold symptoms.

I think people can forget just how horrible colds can be - often much more than just a 'bit of a sniffle', and how transmissible they are. Which is why I've always dreaded those pupils who came into lessons saying "I've got a cold but came in as I didn't want to miss my lesson!" Yay, I'd rather not have your cold along with the flattery. With the greatest respect, please bugger off.

That list gives the impression of having been completed in the back of a fag-packet by an inebriated doctor.

See also the old adjectival ratings for rock-climbing: e.g. severe; very severe; hard very severe; etc.

Haha, indeed... the choice of a scale up to 20 seems 'ambitious', especially given all the gaps, and that 20 appears to be only if you want to die from over-exertion. They could have just about fleshed-out ten levels with suitable descriptors, but even that would have been a stretch (not sure what level 'stretches' go under). I guess that for recovering crocks like I've been they are keen to have enough levels that can both restrict, but also give goals for progress, so the six for cycling exertion would be too restricted, and ten would be better.

Probably not relatable for the general public, but totally understandable for keen cyclists - would need to be translated for non-cyclists:
