What do you think that tells us ? That Macron lost his majority to a left wing surge of votes or the centrists couldn't stand to vote left and voted right.

It tells me that celebrating Macron's loss of majority because of gains by a left wing coalition doesn't tell the whole story.

I seem to remember some people being against both tactical voting and a progressive alliance 🙄

I don't choose to highlight the right, you chose to ignore the gains they'd made.
I'm all for progressive coalitions, I think much can be gained by cross party working, however, in this case it's tempered by le Pens gains, Macron's only serious challenger for the presidency.
