Best of luck to her! Certainly sounds like it's going to be a learning experience!!

Yeah, she’s surprised me. She was quite nervous about the journey which is unsurprising but luckily she travelled out with another girl although she didn’t have much travel experience either. Sorting visas etc. was new to all of us as we aren’t a well travelled family and the (UK) agency didn’t provide much assistance. When I got a text a 5.15am to say the flight had been cancelled I thought she’d be stressed and teary but she got it all sorted herself and did say the Air India staff were really helpful which kept her calm.

A nice 33 degrees there at present - a bit different from when she returned from her last job where it was -35 on her final day!

Well the daughter’s Indian adventure has finally started. I dropped her at a Heathrow hotel on Saturday night and she was at the airport by 5am yesterday to check in only to find the first part of the flight to Delhi was cancelled (presumably due to Trumps folly and it’s impact on flight lanes - I was surprised to see the eventual flight path went over Saudi and Oman). Finally got put on a flight to Bengaluru last night and despite a bit of a worry about the transfer as she’s done very little foreign travel and nothing involving a split flight before, it all went well. She’s now due to travel from Hyderabad to Mumbai next week to do cheerleading at the IPL.

Best wishes to her, hope she has wonderful experiences
