I'm doing the Friday's epic tour (it isn't epic) which involves staying in Chester at the end of the month.

It's things like this that bring the smallness of Britain into focus.
Bearing in mind that LEJOG has been done in 43-1/2 hours.

Wonder if there's a time for the fastest Calais, or Caen or Cherbourg to Nice, Marseille or Perginan?

Paris to Rome is a nice 1000 miles or so, with some big hills in the middle.

I've ridden Ouistreham to Perpignan in in six days, which is 200km a day. Plenty of time for good food and wine along the way.

Paris to Rome is 'easily' doable in 10 days. Ditto.
