I am calling it now, Trump is going to win outright

https://freethoughtblogs.com/pharyngula/2024/10/13/rural-kitsch/

And if Starmer insists in being Thatcher's heir, in five years time we'll have reform in government.

I am thinking Harris might just take it - but not by much

All the polls are well within the polling margins for error

but if it is close and trump looses then I can see all Hell breaking loose

but I presume the law enforcement people will have plans for that

If he wins - then anything could happen - but I reckon Vance is betting on finding a reason why the poor old dear can;t quite manage and it's only right for him to take over (as VP) and he can keep a Special Title - a bit like the original leader of North Korea

Even if Harris wins by a good majority, I can see hell breaking loose.
Everyone associated with MAGA has too much to lose. All the way from local Trump supporters who have secured places as election officials so as to cause chaos by not to certifying the election results should Trump lose the vote, to the Supreme Court justices appointed by Trump.
And aside from hundreds of millions of dollars the likes of Leo and Crowe have spent bankrolling much of the far right agenda and MAGA, Trump isn't going to be able to pardon himself.

It is the typical fascist playbook, cause chaos and then ride in as the saviour.

Having last week authorised the release, with redactions, of Special Counsel Jack Smith's submission to the Court in the election interference case, Judge Tanya Chutkan has now ordered the release of the appendices to Smith's submission, albeit with some redacted material.

Apparently YMCA could be Trump's undoing in that it is argued that as he entered his rally to "YMCA" it was a campaign rally and therefore not a Presidential duty in which he would have entered to "Hail to the Chief". Lovely bit of work there.

I was also surprised to hear YMCA being broadcast, given its association with the gay community and Don shitzenpantz's fascist outlook. Presumably the owners of the song had approved its public broadcasting?
Oh wait a minute, he doesn't bother with such niceties until he gets a cease and desist order.

With Trump bringing up Europe, it is safe to assume Trump is an existential threat to Europe and the so called 'free world'.

If Trump wins we are well fuc-ked.

I presume there have been a lot of hight level discussion amongst European governments about how to move forward if he wins
We can only hope they have come up with something and it works

and just hope he doesn;t do too much damage to his own country before he gets stopped
sorry - IF he gets stopped

If Europe (EU) can’t get their act together after all these years of unity, with all their wealth and resources, and stop relying on the US as their guardians that is not the fault of the US.
People moan about the influence the US has, so it could be a chance to reduce that influence.
What could go wrong

Trump outs his own dollars first and well ahead of the US. We relied on the US wanting to lead rather than simply leeching like what Trump wants.
As a whole Europe is quite weak meaning we get a prolonged war with Russia or we could simply hide and pray,

Forwards is a term missing.
